Choose your path
Martial arts classes in Holland Park for every age
All our martial arts classes in Holland Park sit inside one system. Pick the class that fits you today, then keep progressing for years.
For adults
Adult Beginner Krav Maga
The starting point for most adults. You build practical self-defence foundations in awareness, movement, striking and escapes from common grabs and holds. No experience required, and none assumed.
Women's Krav Maga
Practical self-defence for women, in a women-only room led by a female instructor. It’s beginner friendly and connects to the full adult program whenever you want more.
Adult Mixed Martial Arts
Boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, coached to make you well-rounded across striking, clinch and ground. This is not a fight gym. It’s structured training with a culture that matches the standard.
Adult Advanced Krav Maga
Higher pressure, scenario training, weapons defence and coached sparring. You earn your place here through the earlier stages, so everyone in the room shares the same foundation.
For kids and teens
Kids Krav Maga
An after-school class that builds practical self-defence, focus, listening and self-control. Coached by Blue Card holders, with calm confidence as the goal and aggression never rewarded.
Teen Krav Maga
Self-defence, de-escalation and the legal side of what happens before, during and after an incident. Teens train in groups for 11 to 14 and 15 to 17, and they’re coached as capable young adults.

How your training progresses
Every Krav Maga Holland Park class follows the Gendai Ryu Krav Maga and Jiu-Jitsu system across five pillars. They are self-defence, striking, clinch, Jiu-Jitsu and weapons. You always know where you stand and what comes next.
Step 1
Foundations
Start in Adult Beginners or Women’s Krav Maga. Both teach the same core self-defence system.
Step 2
Add range
Adult Mixed Martial Arts is open to every adult member from day one.
Step 3
Earn Advanced
At White Belt Stripe 2, Advanced Krav Maga opens up, with pressure and scenario work.
Step 4
Grade up
Progress through White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Brown and Black, with a clear standard at each belt.
Earlier awareness
You notice risk sooner because you've practised reading people, places and exits.
Skills that hold up
Strikes, escapes and defences are drilled until they work when your heart rate is up.
One connected system
What you learn in one class carries straight into the next.
A steadier response
Less hesitation when a moment calls for a decision, at work, at home or out at night.

Common questions
Krav Maga Holland Park: your questions answered
Do I need experience or fitness to start?
No. Our beginner classes are built for people who have never trained. You start at your current level, and fitness builds through the training itself.
Which classes run at the Holland Park academy?
All of them. Our martial arts classes in Holland Park include Adult Beginner Krav Maga, Women’s Krav Maga, Adult Mixed Martial Arts, Adult Advanced Krav Maga, Kids Krav Maga for ages 6 to 10, and Teen Krav Maga for ages 11 to 17.
Where is CKMA in Holland Park, and is there parking?
We’re at 889 Logan Road, Holland Park QLD 4121, on Brisbane’s Southside. On-site parking is available, so you can park and walk straight in.
Do you run women-only self-defence classes in Holland Park?
Yes. Women’s Krav Maga is a women-only class led by a female instructor. Plenty of women also train in our mixed adult classes, so you can choose the room that suits you.
Is it safe for kids, and will it make them aggressive?
Contact is controlled and every youth coach holds a Blue Card. The goal is calm confidence, not aggression. Effort, respect and good behaviour are the standard, and parents are welcome to watch.
Can the whole family train at CKMA?
Yes. Kids, teens and adults each have their own classes at the same academy, and many of our families train with us together.
How is CKMA different from other martial arts in Holland Park?
We teach practical Krav Maga first, then build striking, clinch, ground and weapons skills on top, inside one structured system. The culture has no ego, and every coach is trained by the founder.
