Adult Advanced Krav Maga Classes Brisbane
This is not where you start. It is where the work you have already done starts to mean something. Our adult advanced Krav Maga classes are the next stage in the pathway for students at White Belt Stripe 2 or higher. This is where technique meets pressure, where your skills are tested against real resistance, and where the gap between knowing what to do and doing it under stress finally closes. The standard is higher here, because the foundation you have built has earned it.
Who our adult advanced Krav Maga classes are for
This class is for CKMA students at White Belt Stripe 2 or above who are ready to train at a higher level of pressure, complexity, and technical depth.
You will find your place here if you are:
- Our advanced Krav Maga classes are for CKMA students at White Belt Stripe 2 or above
- Ready to move beyond foundational technique into live application
- Building sharper timing, faster decisions, and better composure under pressure
- Wanting to test your skills through controlled Krav Maga sparring and scenario training
- Committed to training at a higher standard, with partners who match it
Advanced Krav Maga is not an entry point into the CKMA system. It is the reward for the work done in the earlier stages. If you are new, your starting point is our adult beginner Krav Maga classes, where the foundation for this class is built.
What you will learn in our advanced martial arts classes for adults
Our adult advanced martial arts classes move beyond the basics into live application. Skills introduced in the earlier stages are now refined under pressure, tested against resistance, and applied in conditions that reflect how real situations actually unfold. This is advanced martial arts training with a self-defence purpose.
The curriculum is developed through our affiliation with Gendai Ryu Krav Maga and Jiu-Jitsu, a modern integrated self-defence system developed by Dr Gavriel Schneider. It is built for the situations real people actually face.
Advanced striking and defensive reactions
Sharper combinations, faster defensive reactions, and better composure during quick exchanges, tested against a resisting partner rather than the air.
Clinch and close-range control
Close-range control drawn from Muay Thai, Judo, and wrestling, for the moments when distance has collapsed and you cannot simply step back.
Takedowns and standing grappling
Takedown entries and standing grappling through a self-defence lens, with control of your balance and position under real pressure.
Advanced Jiu-Jitsu and ground defence
Ground defence against genuine resistance: escapes, reversals, control, and staying calm and effective when someone is fighting back.
Advanced weapons defence
Advanced scenarios involving knives, blunt objects, and improvised threats, built on recognition, positioning, and decision-making.
Controlled sparring and scenario training
Coached rounds that develop timing, distance, and composure, plus scenario work that builds decision-making under pressure, surprise, and fatigue.
These are the elements that separate students who know what to do from students who can do it when it counts. Everything connects to the wider adult Krav Maga program.
What to expect in your first adult advanced Krav Maga class
Advanced classes are demanding by design. They are never random. Every session has a clear goal, a structured format, and coaching throughout.
A CLEAR ENTRY STANDARD
The White Belt Stripe 2 requirement means everyone in the room shares a foundation in movement, control, and partner safety. That shared standard is what makes the class safe, productive, and honest.
A STRUCTURED FORMAT
A session may include technical refinement, combination drilling, clinch and takedowns, ground defence, weapons work, controlled sparring, and scenario rounds. The focus rotates. The standard stays consistent.
SAFE PRESSURE, NOT CHAOS
Timing, resistance, and complexity are increased deliberately, not thrown at you. You are stretched without your safety or anyone else’s being compromised.
HIGHER STANDARDS, STRONG SUPPORT
Advanced students train with discipline, control, and genuine care for their partners. That standard lifts the quality of training for everyone in the room.

What Members Say About Training at CKMA
The clearest read on advanced training comes from students who have been through the system and kept going. Here is what they say.

Watch a real session, then see it in person. For advanced students, the coaching during pressure work is the thing to look for, and it shows.
Meet the instructor behind our adult advanced Krav Maga classes
Our adult advanced Krav Maga classes are led by Max McGregor, the instructor who has taken students from complete beginners through to Black Belt inside the CKMA system. That full-pathway experience matters at this level. An instructor who has only ever worked with experienced students does not understand the development arc that got you here. Max has coached every stage of it.
Max is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and Senior Instructor in Gendai Ryu Krav Maga and Jiu-Jitsu, Brisbane Representative for the Federation of Israeli Martial Arts (FIMA), and an Australian Defence Force veteran. That background informs how pressure training is structured, sequenced, and coached at this level specifically.
He also holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Dennis Survival Ju-Jitsu, a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Antonio Lauro Rodrigues, a Certified Gendai Ryu Krav Maga and Jiu-Jitsu Instructor qualification, a Level 3 Instructor qualification through the Australian Martial Arts Coaching System, and is a Nationally Accredited Self-Defence Instructor. He has trained in Israel and under respected leaders across the international Krav Maga community.
Every CKMA instructor is personally trained, vetted, and developed by Max to the same standard. Clear instruction. Safe partner work. The ability to meet a beginner where they are and build from there without making them feel slow, behind, or out of place.
This is where it starts to pay off
Adult advanced martial arts classes, built on Krav Maga. The gap between knowing what to do and doing it under pressure does not close on its own. It closes in rooms like this, with real resistance, honest coaching, and partners who hold the standard. You have already earned your place. The next step is simply to take it.
FAQ about adult advanced Krav Maga classes
What is the entry requirement?
You must have reached White Belt Stripe 2 or higher in the CKMA system. This ensures everyone shares a foundation in movement, control, and partner safety, which is what makes the class safe and productive at the level it operates.
What does a typical class look like?
A session may include technical refinement, combination drilling, clinch and takedowns, ground defence, controlled sparring, weapons work, and scenario rounds. The focus rotates through the cycle, and coaching runs through the whole session. Every class is advanced martial arts training, coached from start to finish.
Is sparring compulsory?
Krav Maga sparring is a structured, coached part of the program, introduced progressively and managed for safety. It is a coaching tool, not a competitive outlet. Max coaches through it, so you get specific feedback during the round.
How are adult advanced martial arts classes different from beginner training?
In beginners, skills are introduced and drilled in controlled conditions. In advanced, those same skills are applied against resistance, in combination, and under scenario pressure. Closing that gap is exactly what advanced training is for. To see the full pathway from beginner to advanced, visit our martial arts classes in Brisbane page.
Are the classes safe at this intensity?
Yes. Partner conduct, Krav Maga sparring intensity, and scenario pressure are all managed and coached. The entry standard exists specifically so the room can train at this level safely. Higher pressure does not mean unmanaged risk.
I am not White Belt Stripe 2 yet. Where do I start?
Your foundation is built in our adult beginner Krav Maga classes. Every advanced student in the room came through that program first.
Where are you located?
Champions Krav Maga Academy is at 889 Logan Road, Holland Park, Brisbane Southside QLD 4121. We regularly train adults from Mount Gravatt, Greenslopes, Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Carina, and the surrounding southside suburbs.
